Welcome from Bruce Milne, General Manager We've had an exciting year so far here at Viscom, winning some high-profile contracts and welcoming new staff to our team. Our big news is that we have recently won oil and gas sector contracts from across the world worth more than £160,000, after offering clients a wider range of 3D animation options. Among these is a contract to produce a fully animated induction for staff and contractors on the Babbage platform, the first UK North Sea installation owned and operated by E.ON Ruhr Gas, while Venture Production Netherlands has commissioned Viscom to update the safety induction for its J6A-P platform with a fully animated version reflecting layout changes and revised procedures. Work begins early in 2010 on an animated induction for the Chevron E&P Netherlands B13 platform, together with an update of the A12CPP platform induction. On the back of this new work, the Viscom team continues to grow and we're delighted to have Gordon Miller join us. He will be working as an animator and 3D designer, and comes to us after gaining wide experience in online design in a variety of commercial contexts. We have meanwhile been playing a lead role in international consortium Soteria's bid to run the UK's helicopter search and rescue services, creating two promotional videos for use during the procurement process. Our business is going from strength to strength and everyone here at Viscom is confident that 2010 is going to be another great year for us all. We look forward to working with you soon! | Back in the classroom! General Manager Bruce Milne and Production Manager Richard Holman have been working with pupils at Northfield Academy in Aberdeen to help them produce a video as part of a healthy eating initiative. Teaching staff used the project to introduce critical skills to first-year pupils within the Enterprising Education and Hungry for Success initiatives. The project was a great success and the Viscom team are looking forward to being invited back!
